Job

Ensure all public areas are clean and maintained according to the standards set forth by the hotel and IDM, the management company.

• High school or equivalent education required.
• Prior hospitality experience preferred.

• 30% Perform general cleaning duties in public areas (dusting, sweeping/mopping, vacuuming, cleaning of glass doors, etc.) including food service outlets, lobby, and public restrooms.
• 15% Perform during and after hours care of the pool and fitness facility.
• 15% Assist in the general housekeeping operation when necessary.
• 15% Report all maintenance matters per procedure ensuring guest satisfaction and facility upkeep.
• 15% Responsible for being knowledgeable about the hotel.
• 10% Maintain, at all times, a neat and clean professional appearance.

• Enforce hotel safety standards.
• Perform other duties and handle projects as assigned by Manager.
• Report property deficiencies to the management and/or the appropriate department.

• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
• Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.

This is an hourly position and will be scheduled based on operational need/coverage.

The Public Area Attendant reports directly to the Executive Housekeeper and has limited scope of supervisory responsibilities based on the function of the position.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and up to 75 lbs on a regular basis.
• Can push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs.
• Must stand, bend, squat, and work continuously for up to 4 hours.
• Must move efficiently in limited spaces and between functions simultaneously.
• Must communicate verbally, read, write, type, dial, reach, and bend.
• Must work primarily indoors with moderate temperature.
• Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
