Position Summary

Transform lives by providing day-to-day custodial services and light maintenance at assigned campus. Stevens Point will be the assigned campus, however this position will be required to work in different locations to accommodate the needs of the facilities team.

Typical Hours

Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m.

- 3:30 p.m. These times may differ dependent upon the time of year and staffing availability.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks to include, but not limited to, dust mopping and wet mopping classrooms, offices, restrooms and hallway floors; cleaning restrooms; stripping and sealing resilient and hard surface floors; washing windows, walls, lockers; vacuum and shampoo all carpeted areas of the building.
  • Continually display ICARE values when working with students, employees and public.
  • Perform the maintenance of grounds to include, but not limited to, campus roads, sidewalks, and parking lots; mowing lawn, trimming, irrigation, and snow removal.
  • Responsible for building inspection and insuring buildings are secured at campus closure times.
  • Perform weekend and holiday building checks as assigned.
  • Perform minor carpentry, electrical, and mechanical repairs to include, but not limited to, cleaning equipment, ceilings, floor tile, carpet, light and ballast replacement.
  • Operate vehicles and perform routine vehicle maintenance.
  • Perform various support services, such as setting up and taking down equipment to include, but not limited to, tables, chairs, and stages.
  • Perform assigned "work orders tickets" and assist in package deliveries throughout the campuses.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Prior Custodial/maintenance Experience Preferred.

Mechanical aptitude preferred.

Computer Skills Required.

Must possess a valid Wisconsin driver's license.

Must be available to report for work on short notice during emergencies.
