Department DetailsThis position is located in Wisconsin and requires occasional travel within the state. The Project Manager works closely with stakeholders and vendors to understand project requirements and business needs to identify, evaluate, and select strategic solutions for the department and organization’s established goals and objectives. This role oversees and completes the planning, implementation, tracking and communication of concurrent short and/or long-term projects for the department and/or organization in which the role resides.
The Project Manager works under the direction of leadership but ultimately has the responsibility to work independently and collaboratively to successfully complete projects in support of the department and organization. More specifically, The Project Manager will be the focal point for communications and dissemination of information to participating Marshfield Clinic clinicians and staff, stakeholders, and study sponsor. The Project Manager position combines administrative and evaluation-related responsibilities such as overseeing data collection procedures, IRB and compliance reports, preparation of presentation material and background documentation, and monitoring project success using appropriate tracking and feedback systems.
The Project Manager will work closely with CCEPH administration to manage study resources, budget, and project deliverables. The Project Manager will assist with resolving study related conflicts and team member understanding of roles and responsibilities to retain positive engagement throughout the project. The Research Project Manager will also provide support for future research in a variety of areas that may include vaccine safety and effectiveness, cancer or cardiovascular disease care, and other epidemiology projects.
This position will be dedicated to Marshfield Clinic’s participation in a the Connect study to build and follow a multicenter cohort of ,000 healthy adult participants from integrated health care systems. Through collection of biospecimens, extensive survey data, and links to electronic medical records, the goal of the project is to better understand the genetic, environmental, behavioral, and clinical risks of developing or dying from cancer.
Marshfield Clinic is collaborating with Henry Ford Health System in Detroit and Health Partners in Minneapolis to recruit and enroll 20,000 study participants in this prospective cancer cohort.
The Project Manager manages the full project lifecycle from project initiation to close. Serves as a representative of enterprise initiatives. Develops project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. Ensures efficient resource utilization while following established standards and methods for project management. Creates detailed project plans and schedules. Prepares, manages, and reports on overall project schedule and budget to appropriate managerial levels.
Tracks project schedules, deliverables, costs/budget and time. Leads day-to-day project activities required to deliver a quality solution on time. Leads cross-functional teams through the process of discovery, design and implementation. Coordinates resources and schedules to achieve desired goals. Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation; tracks progress and performance on initiatives. Establishes procedures, processes, and milestones while working with management staff to resource projects accordingly.
