PRODUCTION MANAGER

Summary of Position

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing and production operations while advancing the mission of the organization. This position directly supervises ODC production employees in on‑site manufacturing and production activities, fostering a safe, inclusive, and productive work environment.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Associate degree in Business Management or related fields preferred
  • 3 years practical work flow scheduling, purchasing, and customer service experience
  • Industrial and/or supervisory experience a must
  • Mechanical aptitude preferred
  • Procurement and negotiating experience preferred
  • Advanced computer skills needed
Responsibilities
  • Accountable for inventory management
  • Production planning and the efficient use of resources to ensure operational goals are achieved.
  • Meeting production targets
  • Maintaining workplace safety standards
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily production activities to meet customer deadlines, quality standards, and operational goals while making independent day‑to‑day production decisions.
  • Monitor production processes and finished products to ensure compliance with customer specifications and established quality standards.
  • Negotiate, procure, and manage production‑related inventory and materials to support efficient operations and minimize waste.
  • Perform material handling and production work as needed to support workflow demands and customer commitments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment and ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Exercise authority and responsibility to stop production when safety or quality concerns arise and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Direct and oversee testing, diagnosis, repair, and ongoing maintenance of all production equipment to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Participate in Safety Committee meetings and capital and maintenance planning activities to support continuous improvement and long‑term operational success.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and operate company vehicles as required.
  • Be available to respond to emergency situations and operational needs outside of regular business hours as necessary.
Requirements
  • Ability to produce at required rate and quality of assigned job.
  • Ability to facilitate and respond to verbal, written, computerized, fax communications.
  • Ability to operate production electrical/motor driven equipment and machinery.
  • Mobility to access various locations within ODC facility.
  • Ability to perform quality inspection according to ODC’s and/or customer’s requirements.
  • Bending, squatting, twisting, reaching, standing, sitting, walking frequently required.
  • Lifting 25–35 lbs frequently – up to 60 lbs occasionally.
