Precision Turning Machinist — CNC & Manual Lathes

Step into a shop where accuracy matters and teamwork fuels results. As a Precision Turning Machinist, you’ll blend hands‑on craftsmanship with smart CNC know-how to create components that meet exacting specs - every time.

• Kick off by reviewing job orders and blueprints to plan tooling, work holding, and machining steps.
• Set up and run both manual engine lathes and CNC turning centers to produce parts to print.
• Dial in offsets, speeds/feeds, and tooling; monitor cycles and fine-tune for quality and throughput.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to keep equipment running reliably.
• Measure, inspect, and document results to ensure parts meet dimensional and surface‑finish requirements.
• Coordinate with teammates to hit production goals and deadlines.
• Keep your station orderly and adhere to all safety procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent; a machining certificate/technical diploma is a plus.
• Proven experience operating both manual and CNC lathes.
• Solid grasp of machining fundamentals, turning processes, and best practices.
• Comfort reading engineering drawings, process sheets, and technical specs.
• Hands‑on experience with precision measurement and quality control methods.
• Strong attention to detail, methodical problem solving, and clear communication.
• Team mindset and a willingness to learn new tooling, controls, and methods.
