We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical/Intermediate Care Registered Nurse (RN) to join a 29-bed cardiac‑focused unit in an acute care setting. This unit cares for a diverse population of cardiac medical and post‑procedural patients and requires strong clinical judgment and cardiac experience.

• Care Setting: Acute Care

Cardiac medical and surgical patients, including:

• Post‑cath lab patients (stents, pacemakers, ICDs, Watchman, Mitra Clip, TAVR)
• Post‑cardiac surgery (CABG, valve replacements)
• Atrial fibrillation
• Chest pain
• CHF
• Arrhythmias
• Syncope
• Bradycardia (temporary pacemaker management)

• Days (until 2300): 1:4
• Nights (after 2300): 1:5–6

• Care for post‑procedural cath lab patients
• Manage TR Band compression devices
• Provide chest pain management
• Care for post‑cardiac surgical patients
• Titrate cardiac drips (no vasopressors)
• Interpret telemetry in collaboration with 24/7 central telemetry monitoring team
• Provide incentive spirometry (RT available 24/7 for respiratory treatments and advanced respiratory support)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including RT, nurse aides, and charge RN

• Nitroglycerin
• Heparin
• Diltiazem
• Amiodarone
• Lasix
• Bumex
• Dobutamine

• 24/7 Central Telemetry Monitoring
• Charge RN (modified patient assignment)
• Nurse Aides:
  • Days: 1:10
  • PM: 1:10–12
  • Nights (after 2300): 1:15 (may convert to all‑RN model)
• Respiratory Therapy available 24/7

Active RN License (required at submission)

BSN not required

• ACLS (AHA)
• BLS (AHA)

• Experience with post‑procedural cath lab patients
• Experience managing TR Band compression devices
• Chest pain management experience
• Post‑cardiac surgical patient care experience
• Experience titrating cardiac drips
