The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized care to infusion patients. The role involves managing a dedicated patient caseload, delivering patient education, ensuring consistent monitoring, and proactively managing treatment‑related side effects to promote safe and effective care outside of the clinical setting. The RN will work day shifts (Mon‑Fri, 8:00 am‑5:00 pm), with a weekly schedule of 32 hours and a salary range of $32.00–$48.00 per hour.
Responsibilities- Deliver patient education on oral chemotherapy and oncology medications.
- Ensure consistent monitoring of patients and intervene early for side effects.
- Provide comprehensive support in an outpatient/home setting.
- Collaborate with physicians and other inter‑professional colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
- Utilize the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, evaluation) for individualized care.
- Maintain compliance with the Nurse Practice Act, Administrative Rules, and professional standards.
- Achieve nationally recognized Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy competency.
- Pursue Oncology Nurse Certification (OCN®) through the Oncology Nursing Society.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program (AACN, ACEN, NLN CNEA, etc.).
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice or multistate licensure in an NLC state.
- Ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize patient needs.
