Client Rates:
Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility. Local rate reduced by $8.00/hour.

• Traches and Vents experience is key on this unit.
• Number of Beds: 28
• Patient Ratios:
  Days 1:4‑5 (NOC 1:5‑6), dependent on acuity.
• Common Diagnoses/Types of Patients:
  Neuro focus – strokes, seizures, Guillain‑Barré, Myasthenia gravis, spinal injuries, thrombectomies, 24‑hour post TPA/TNK, neuro specialties (endovascular, AMS, dementia). Trauma/ortho injuries – hematomas, bleeds, falls on thinners, farm and MVA accidents, etc.
• Minimum Experience:
  
  2 years in MS, PCU, or ICU, with experience in the setting within the last 1 year.
• Must have drip experience.
• Highly preferred: home trach vents. Travelers with trach‑vent experience preferred.
• Open to first‑time travelers; RN must be willing to learn trach‑vent management.
• RNs are required to titrate drips (Heparin, Nitro, Diltiazem, Amiodarone, 3%, Insulin).
• Charge Nurse/House Supervisor:
  Yes; nights cover full team, days a smaller assignment.
• Ratios with Nurse Aides:
  Days 1:9, NOC 1:12.
• Respiratory Equipment:
  Vents, trachs, CPAP, BiPAP, Vapo Therm, EtCO

• Tele/Monitor Techs present; RNs must read their own strips. Central monitor located elsewhere.
• Scheduling:
  Self‑scheduling; manager balances. Opens 6 weeks in advance. Cannot guarantee same shifts for travel duos. 12‑hour shifts 7‑7:30 AM and 7‑7:30 PM.
• Weekend Requirements:
  Every other Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
• Holiday Requirements:
  Typically 2–3 winter holidays, otherwise alternating.
• No call or standby required.
• Floating:
  Yes – support sister MS units (6 specialties: mixed care, cardiac, general, MS ortho, heme/onc, general patient care).
• Scrub Color/Dress Code:
  Any solid color scrubs.
