Job TitleRegistered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care / Medical-Surgical

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Night Shift | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required | Every Other Holiday Required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 29-bed Progressive Care / Medical-Surgical unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio on nights
- Manage patients presenting with abdominal surgeries, ear/nose/throat surgeries, complex wounds, and general medical diagnoses
- Perform and maintain IVs, drains, ostomies, wound vacs, NG tubes, and Foley catheters
- Titrate drips including Heparin and, on an infrequent basis, insulin, diltiazem, amiodarone, and nitroglycerin
- Collaborate with telemetry monitor technicians who track patient rhythms and communicate concerns to the nursing staff
- Float on rotation to other medical-surgical units when the primary unit is overstaffed
- Active RN licensure in good standing
- Current BLS certification
- Intermediate Care or Progressive Care background
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Demonstrated experience with IVs, drains, ostomies, wound vacs, NG tubes, and Foley catheters
- Ability to titrate drips as required by unit protocols
- Current ACLS certification
- Experience with respiratory support equipment such as CPAP, BiPAP, Vapotherm, or tracheostomy care
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in a PCU or medical-surgical setting
- Block scheduling is made available whenever possible, particularly for night shift clinicians
- No on-call or standby requirements, offering a predictable and manageable work schedule
