Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Marshfield, WI | Acute Care

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite

• Provide direct nursing care in a high-risk Labor and Delivery setting managing diagnoses including preeclampsia, HELLP syndrome, placenta previa, preterm labor, and PROM
• Admit, prepare, and recover patients in the LDR area; perform recovery of both mother and baby (no dedicated Newborn Nursery RN on unit)
• Titrate drips including insulin and oxytocin per physician orders
• Float to Mother-Baby Unit (MBU) and Antepartum on the same floor as needed; may also float to serve as a patient sitter throughout the facility or to NICU if trained and comfortable
• Operate and interpret fetal monitoring using Corometric EFM with Cerner/Fetalink system
• Follow AWHONN staffing ratio guidelines and collaborate with OB Techs, Charge RN, and available OB/MFM providers

• Active RN license with Labor and Delivery experience
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Experience in a non-LDRP setting with ability to float to MBU and Antepartum
• Competency with titratable drips (insulin, oxytocin)
• Must live at least 80 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard contract rates

• Experience in a high-risk OB environment managing complex maternal diagnoses
• Familiarity with Corometric EFM and Cerner/Fetalink documentation systems
• NICU experience or comfort floating to NICU
• Experience with combined LDR recovery responsibilities for both mother and newborn

• Work in a high-acuity L&D environment with 24/7 in-house OB provider and anesthesia coverage, MFM on call, and OB Tech support each shift
• Facility works closely with clinicians on preferred scheduling, including block scheduling options, with no on-call or standby requirement
