Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Marshfield, WI | Acute Care

Contract | Days | Every Other Weekend | Every Other Holiday | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care on a 29-bed Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit serving orthopedic trauma, vascular, urology, neuro-spine, OB/GYN oncology, and acute medical patient populations
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–5 on days and 1:5–6 on nights, with nursing assistant support
• Titrate drips following prescribed nomograms, including heparin and occasionally nitroglycerin, bivalirudin, Cardizem, and insulin
• Manage respiratory support modalities including CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy (no ventilator management required); respiratory therapy support is available on unit
• Float to other adult medical/surgical nursing units as needed
• Collaborate with charge nurses and house supervisors present on all shifts; assume expanded responsibilities for vital signs and ADLs during evening and overnight hours per shift model

• Active RN licensure in the state of Wisconsin or compact state eligibility
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 1–2 years of acute care nursing experience
• Must live at least 80 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard contract rates

• Experience with telemetry monitoring in an acute care setting
• Familiarity with orthopedic, vascular, or urological post-operative patient care
• Experience managing heparin drips and other titratable infusions via nomogram

• Work on a well-supported unit with 24/7 telemetry technician monitoring, house supervisor coverage on all shifts, and respiratory therapy on-site
• Structured block scheduling provided to the best extent possible, with no on-call or standby requirements
