Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in an acute care setting. This role involves providing specialized patient care for neuro, trauma, and general medical patients with complex needs. The focus is on managing a variety of conditions such as strokes, seizures, spinal injuries, trauma, and hematomas, requiring clinical expertise and adaptability.

• Schedule:
  
  12-hour night shifts, with every other weekend and holiday requirement; minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  
  2 years of Medical-Surgical (MS), Progressive Care Unit (PCU), or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience; must have worked within the last one year; BLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS certifications; licensed to submit; located within 80 miles of the facility.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Experience with Trachs and Vents, including home vent management; willingness to train on vents; experience with titratable drips such as Heparin, Nitro, Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Insulin.
• Float:
  Float rotation may be required to sister Medical-Surgical units and six different specialties including cardiac, general medicine, orthopedics, hematology/oncology, and others.
• Additional Information:
  Nurses on this unit are responsible for reading their own telemetry strips; the unit utilizes vents, Trachs, Cpap, Bipap, Vapotherm, and Etco2 equipment; self-scheduling is in place with management support; shifts begin at 7:00 PM and end at 7:30 AM; the unit has a charge nurse taking a full team during night shifts.

  Clinicians who have previously worked for the facility must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission. All clinicians must clock in/out at the facility.
