Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Marshfield, WI | Acute Care

Contract | Rotating Shifts | 12-Hour Days

• Provide direct patient care in a high-risk Labor and Delivery unit managing diagnoses including preeclampsia, HELLP syndrome, placenta previa, preterm labor, and PROM
• Admit, prepare, and recover patients in the LDR area, including recovery of both mother and newborn (no dedicated Newborn Nursery RN on unit)
• Titrate drips including insulin and oxytocin per physician orders and unit protocols
• Float to Mother-Baby Unit (MBU) and Antepartum areas located on the same floor as needed
• Adhere to AWHONN staffing ratio guidelines and utilize Corometric EFM system integrated with Cerner/Fetalink
• Float as a patient sitter throughout the facility as needed; may float to NICU if trained and comfortable

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Experience in Labor and Delivery, including high-risk patient populations
• Ability to perform recovery of both mother and newborn independently
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission date
• Must live at least 80 miles from the facility to be eligible for standard contract rates

• Experience titrating drips in an obstetric setting, including oxytocin and insulin
• Familiarity with Corometric EFM and Cerner-based documentation systems
• Experience floating to MBU, Antepartum, or NICU settings
• Comfort working in a non-LDRP model with shared floor units

• Work in a well-supported high-risk L&D environment with OB provider coverage in house 24/7, MFM on call, anesthesia in house 24/7, and OB Techs on each shift
• Unit leadership works closely with clinicians to accommodate preferred scheduling, with block scheduling options available
