Business Development & Sales Representative

Carpet City Flooring Center is seeking a Business Development & Sales Representative to grow retail and light commercial flooring sales across our Wisconsin markets. In this customer-facing role, you'll guide homeowners, contractors, and businesses through product selection, design options, and installation timelines. Responsibilities include prospecting, lead follow-up, showroom consultations, quoting, and coordinating with installation teams. You'll thrive in a family-owned, team-oriented environment focused on integrity, craftsmanship, and long-term community relationships while building expertise in flooring products and sales.

Responsibilities

• Drive in-store and outbound sales of flooring products to residential and light commercial customers
• Conduct needs assessments, product demonstrations, and design consultations to recommend flooring solutions
• Prepare accurate quotes, proposals, and follow-ups to close sales and meet revenue targets
• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships through proactive communication and service
• Coordinate with installation teams to schedule projects and ensure job details are accurate
• Maintain showroom displays, samples, and product knowledge to support consultative selling
• Use POS/CRM tools to track leads, opportunities, and customer history
• Collaborate with teammates on promotions, community events, and local marketing efforts
• Resolve customer concerns professionally to protect brand reputation and satisfaction
• Stay current on product trends, installation basics, and warranty requirements
