, and we have multiple FULL-TIME openings for Trailer Technicians.

These positions are for 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday-Friday.
SUMMARYUnder the supervision of the Service Department Manager, the Mechanic engages in the servicing and repair of transportation equipment.
JOB DUTIESCompletion of various trailer repairs, including brakes, tires, steering systems, suspensions, preventative maintenance, and a variety of other routine maintenance. KNOWLEDGE OF DIESLE TRUCK REPAIR IS A PLUS!!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- 1. The performance of service work, including, but not limited to operating a forklift to move equipment from one location to another, operating various welding equipment, utilizing personal tools as well as company equipment to move, assemble, repair and install trailer and tractor parts and accessories, and utilizing various precision measuring equipment to check work.
- 2. Ensure time and work comments are properly entered into all work orders on a daily basis.
- 3. Inspects all service work prior to customer pickup to ensure Quality work has been performed.
- 4. Process all related paperwork as requested by the Service Billing Analyst to ensure invoices are completed on a timely basis.
- 5. Developing and maintaining customer relations.
- 6. Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures.
- 7. Assist with the training of technicians with less experience, including guiding technicians in the performance of proper service work procedures, as and when requested by Service Department Manager.
- 8. Comply with company issued purchasing procedures, including purchasing approval requirements.
- 9. Comply with Company Warranty Procedures.
- 10. Ensure all shop tools and equipment are utilized in accordance with both manufacturer’s specifications, as well as OSHA requirements.
- 11. Follow proper lock-out tag-out and confined spaces permitting procedures.
- 12. Other duties as assigned or requested by the Service Manager/Foreman.

- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Have own tools (some are provided)
- Associates degree in Mechanics or Class A CDL preferred, but not required
- At least 1-2 years of experience in service industry managing people and workflows.
- Solid mechanical knowledge of class 8 trucks and trailers.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have previous experience with OSHA, DOT or Safety procedures.
- Must have experience with equipment maintenance and service repair software.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision and Peripheral vision. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to taste or smell.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to work in high, precarious places. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); fumes or airborne particles requiring the use of a dust mask; toxic or caustic chemicals; outdoor weather conditions; extreme cold (non-weather);
extreme heat (non-weather) and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment may occasionally be extremely loud, and require the use of ear plugs. The employee occasionally performs work-related travel.
