We’re seeking a skilled and adaptable Repair Technician to work with our experienced Mechanic. This role offers a wide variety of tasks, from servicing trailers and trucks to maintaining small and large equipment and supporting shop operations. Key Responsibilities- Perform DOT inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance on trailers, trucks, light‑duty vehicles, large and small equipment.
- Diagnose and service gas/diesel engines, fuel, ignition, cooling, and electrical systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance: oil changes, fluid checks, brakes, tires, belts, hydraulic systems, and hoses.
- Transport vehicles/equipment between shop and job sites; assist with load coordination and scheduling.
- Maintain shop organization, yard storage, and tool management; support in‑progress repairs.
- Document work performed and update equipment status records.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in heavy equipment or heavy truck repair and service, or a two‑year technical degree in Diesel or Heavy Equipment
- 2 year technical degree plus at least 2 years experience is preferred
- Basic understanding of trailer repair, truck systems, electrical systems, and small engine maintenance
- Willingness to learn and grow into more complex repair tasks
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and company protocols
- Good organizational, planning, and communication skills
- Need to adapt to changing technology and problem solve
- Must be self‑motivated and able to work independently with little supervision
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders and work at different elevations
- Familiarity with construction or industrial equipment is a plus
- Must have or be able to obtain necessary tools to perform job tasks
