Carpenter

This role leads hands-on carpentry work on commercial and industrial construction projects ranging from mid-sized builds to large, multi-million-dollar developments. In this role you will be doing some framing and finish carpentry from start to completion, ensuring high-quality workmanship while working closely with other field crews and site leadership on design/build, ground-up, and remodel projects.

• Lead and perform hands-on framing and finish carpentry on commercial and industrial projects from initial layout through final completion.
• Oversee day-to-day carpentry activities on site, coordinating with rough and finish crews to maintain schedule and quality standards.
• Read and interpret construction blueprints and plans to ensure accurate layout, measurements, and installation of structural and finish components.
• Execute framing work for new construction, including walls, floors, roofs, and other structural elements according to specifications.
• Perform trim and finish carpentry, including installation of doors, windows, casing, baseboards, and other detailed finish components.
• Support remodel work on existing structures, ensuring safe demolition, integration with existing conditions, and high-quality reconstruction.
• Use a variety of power tools, such as power drills, reciprocating saws, nail guns, and related carpentry tools, in a safe and efficient manner.
• Collaborate with site superintendents and other trades to sequence work, resolve field issues, and maintain a productive jobsite.
• Move between projects as needed, particularly for finish carpentry, to support multiple active jobs and maintain project timelines.
• Promote a safe work environment by following site safety practices and maintaining clean, organized work areas.

• At least 2 years of experience performing carpentry on new construction projects.
• At least 2 years of experience using power tools such as power drills, reciprocating saws, and nail guns.
• At least 2 years of experience working on remodel projects in existing buildings.
• Proficiency in framing for commercial or industrial construction projects.
• Experience with trim work and general carpentry tasks on active job sites.
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and apply them accurately in the field.
• Capability to perform both rough and finish carpentry tasks as project needs require.
• Comfort working on a variety of project types, including ground-up builds, design/build work, and remodels.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to commute to job sites within approximately a two-hour radius of the central shop area.

• Experience working on large multi-story apartments, libraries, schools, hospitals, or industrial projects.
• Experience as a steel erector or exposure to structural steel work.
• Prior experience working in 3–6 person field crews for rough or finish carpentry.
• Familiarity with self-perform general contractor environments where multiple trades are coordinated in-house.

This role is based primarily on active construction sites in and around Medford, WI, with long-term work centered near Marshfield and within approximately a two-hour radius of the central shop area.
