Job DescriptionThe Wood County Human Services Department, Family Services Division, has an immediate opening for a Case Manager/Social Worker – Youth Justice. This role works with youth referred for delinquent acts, truancy, and runaways, collaborating with schools, courts, law enforcement, treatment and service providers to provide interventions that hold youth accountable while offering treatment. The goal is to encourage engagement in pro‑social activities, promote positive relationships and social behaviors, and reduce recidivism.
ResponsibilitiesCourt Reports, eWiSACWIS documentation per Wisconsin State Statutes, Youth Justice Standards, Ongoing Services Standards, and internal processes.
Non‑Certified: Minimum qualification of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a directly related field. Basic everyday living skills, ability to understand and follow instructions, reading and writing proficiency for reports, and oral and written communication skills are required. Position requires travel to and from off‑campus sites. Valid driver’s license and a licensed, insured automobile or other reliable transportation required.
Certified: Minimum qualification of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a directly related field. Possession of, or eligibility for, Social Work Certification in accordance with Wisconsin Chapter 457.08 is preferred. Wage will depend on education, certification, and experience. Same basic living skills, communication, travel, and transportation requirements apply.
