Chippewa County is accepting applications for an Operator II – Truck Driver position within the Highway Department. The job duties of the Operator II include but are not limited to provide highway and bridge maintenance and construction, construction and maintenance materials handling, sand and gravel mining and highway facilities maintenance; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public.
Winter maintenance activities will be required for this position.
High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Class B CDL without restrictions E and L required. Class A and N-Tanker Endorsement required within 6 months from date of full-time hire. MSHA certification for work in mines preferred. Employer provided certification to be obtained within 12 months of full-time hire. Certifications – as determined by the County based on the position. Road maintenance or construction experience preferred.

$23.16 - $25.17 per hour depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package.
Maximum Wage$30.20 per hour.
