Job Requirements and Duties

Minimum age: 18 years or older.

• Have a valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards and access to an insured vehicle for delivery.
• Possess navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain including multi‑story buildings.
• Operate all equipment used in the store.
• Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
• Prepare product.

Orientation and training provided on the job.

Communication skills: comprehend and give correct written instructions; communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone or in person.

• Perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) accurately and quickly (calculator may be used).
• Provide accurate monetary change.
• Use verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Possess motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid and accurate movements.
• Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.

• Carrying:
  Carry pizzas and beverages during delivery; walk and climb stairs during delivery.
• Driving:
  Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area; may make several deliveries per shift.
• Walking:
  Travel between the store and delivery vehicle and to customer locations.
• Climbing:
  Navigate five or more flights of stairs may be required.
• Standing:
  Most tasks performed from a standing position.
• Walking short distances for short durations; surfaces include ceramic tile, bricks with linoleum; height of work surfaces 36-48 inches.
• Sitting:
  Paperwork at desk or table.
• Lifting:
  Bulk product deliveries may involve unloading with hand truck; cases up to 50 pounds, dimensions up to 3' x 1.5'; cases stacked up to 72 high.
• Carrying large cans (≈3 lb 7 oz), pizza sauce (≈30 lb), trays of dough (≈12 lb each) over short distances.
• Pushing:
  Move trays on dollies (24-30 lb force).
• Stooping/Bending:
  Forward bending at waist, toe room, duration 30‑45 seconds repeated continuously.
• Crouching/Squatting:
  Occasionally to stock shelves.
• Reaching:
  Up, down, forward; up to 72 inches when turning on/off oven controls, lifting from shelves, reaching down for tasks, reaching forward when obtaining ingredients.
• Hand tasks:
  Eye‑hand coordination essential; continuous hand use; forceful forearms/wrists to shape dough; manipulate pizza peel and rolling cutter; pinching in assembling cardboard boxes; ability to grasp cans, phone, pizza cutter, pizza peel, pizza boxes.

• Weather:
  Varying and sometimes adverse conditions outside.
• Temperature:
  In‑store temperatures 36‑90°F and above; sudden changes.
• Fumes:
  Food odors.
• Cornmeal dust.
• Cramped quarters, walk‑in cooler.
• Hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F or higher.
• Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.

• Deliver product by car to the customer door.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.

• Valid driver's license with safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle used for delivery.
