Custodian, Housing Office

Monday-Friday 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (40 hours per week). Full‑time position with employee benefits.

• Perform custodial duties in residential apartments to create a clean and safe environment for students.
• Clean bathroom fixtures, toilets/urinals, sinks, mirrors, floors, partitions, windowsills, stairwells, handrails, dust baseboards, and remove cobwebs.
• Sweep, dust mop, wet mop, scrub/buff floors; strip and wax floors/extract carpets as needed.
• Change light bulbs; move furniture, equipment, supplies, and tools as needed.
• Report safety concerns to immediate supervisor; complete work orders; maintain custodial supplies.
• Assist in preparation and clean up for housing guests such as camp and conference attendees.
• Perform other duties as assigned consistent with the scope and intent of the position.

• Ability to understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions.
• Make routine decisions independently; work well with others; take direction and sustain long periods of light to moderately heavy physical activity.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Knowledge of custodial equipment, operation and safety.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe use.

Minimum hiring rate $14.00 per hour (Market Range 02). Salary commensurate with education and experience.
