Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

Birch Agency, a nationally recognized company in educational services, is looking for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team in Martinez, CA

• 8 hrs/day (4 days a week) - 32 hrs/week
• Elementary and Middle School (2 sites)
• Elementary are speech only kiddos, not Special Day Class
• Middle schoolers are Moderate/Severe (only
  5)
• Caseload: approximately 44 (5 of which are Junior High)
• On site only (Martinez, CA)
• Start: ASAP | End:
  June 4th 2026
• Flexible schedule for splitting sites
• Pay starting at $50/hr (dependent on experience)

• Degree in Speech and Communication from an accredited institution preferred
• Valid CA state license for Speech Language Pathology Assistant required
• Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting, with a strong emphasis on supporting those with special needs

• Work under a team of SLPs
• Evaluate students referred with speech/language disorders to determine degree and severity
• Provide Speech Therapy to students with a wide variety of disabilities
• Complete appropriate paperwork following state guidelines
• Attend IEP Meetings
• Confer with parents and develop home programs when necessary
• Consult with Teachers
• Work as a part of Special Ed team
• Provide thorough and accurate documentation in a timely fashion
