Personal Care Assistant (PCA)

Com For Care  Home Care - Contra Costa West is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our growing team in Orinda, CA. In this rewarding role, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients by providing personalized, in-home care that promotes dignity and independence. Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients in their homes
• Help with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation as needed
• Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior to supervisors
• Accompany clients to appointments and assist with errands or transportation
• Follow individualized care plans to ensure consistent, high-quality personal care

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a PCA, HHA, CNA, or caregiver preferred
• Genuine compassion and patience when working with elderly or disabled individuals
• Ability to assist with physical tasks including lifting and transferring clients
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow care plan instructions
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
• Must pass a background check and meet state requirements for home care aides in California

Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
