Overview
Los Medanos College is seeking a dynamic Technology Systems Manager to lead and advance the college’s information technology department. This position shapes the digital infrastructure and service delivery that supports student success, faculty innovation, and institutional effectiveness. The successful candidate will manage enterprise systems, integrate technology-rich learning environments, and ensure IT services are responsive, secure, and scalable for a large and diverse college community.
Responsibilities- Design, development, integration, implementation, and maintenance of computer and network systems.
- Ensure applications, systems, and networks adhere to established policies and guidelines; develop standards and policy documents.
- Monitor system performance and provide direct supervision over technical and support staff.
- Plan, develop, and oversee the work of assigned technical staff; conduct performance evaluations and provide training as needed.
- Evaluate and respond to user requirements, design system interfaces, and coordinate third‑party software integration.
- Prepare complex operational reports and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders, including district and college staff, outside agencies, and the public.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and lead strategic technology initiatives aligned with institutional goals.
- Equivalent to a BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in computer science, business, network communication technology, or a related field.
- Five or more years of full‑time supervisory or management experience overseeing computer and network systems.
- Possession and maintenance of a valid Class C California Driver’s License and a good driving record.
- Knowledge:
Operations and applications of computers, networks, telecommunications and related equipment; principles of supervision, project management, and budget oversight; and standard business English. - Ability:
Analyze data and situations, reason logically, communicate effectively, meet deadlines, and maintain positive working relationships; stay current with industry trends; exercise independent judgment; interpret and implement District policies and procedures. - Desirable:
Experience in higher education settings and information security leadership; ability to build long‑term technology roadmaps and drive cross‑functional governance.

Full‑time (40 hours per week) - Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (occasional nights and weekends may be required) - Salary:
