OverviewThis role reports to the Information Technology Infrastructure Manager and is critical for providing IT support aligned with contemporary ITIL standards.
Responsibilities- End‑User Support
:
Provide first‑line technical assistance for hardware, software, and network-related issues; resolve level‑one incidents; escalate complex issues as necessary. - Training and Documentation
:
Conduct training sessions and create instructional materials to enhance user proficiency; ensure all documentation follows ITIL best practices. - System Monitoring and Reporting
:
Monitor systems for performance, availability, and security; generate and analyze reports to proactively manage system health. - Customer Interaction
:
Maintain professional communication with end‑users; address issues promptly and follow up to confirm resolution. - Collaboration
:
Work closely with other IT staff, including network and systems administrators, to coordinate the resolution of technical issues; install proprietary software and hardware. - Miscellaneous
:
Perform other duties as assigned, such as assisting in the implementation of IT projects and initiatives.
- IT Systems Knowledge
:
In‑depth knowledge of personal computer hardware, software, LAN/WAN infrastructures, and operating systems (e.g., Windows 10/11). - Technical Communication
:
Ability to clearly communicate technical information to non‑technical users and document procedures according to ITIL guidelines. - Problem Solving
:
Skilled in diagnosing and resolving technical issues, assessing system failures, and implementing corrective actions. - Training and Support
:
Experience delivering end‑user training and support, focused on improving user experience and system utilization. - Adaptability
:
Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies and adapt to changing work environments.
High school diploma, GED, or high‑school proficiency certificate is required. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a closely related field is desirable. Relevant work experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‑for‑year basis.
Experience- 1–2 years of job‑related experience with demonstrated competence in IT support.
- Possession of a valid California driver’s license or suitable transportation approved by the Court.
- Successful completion of fingerprinting and a criminal record background check is required prior to appointment.
- The position may require travel to other court locations; a valid California driver’s license is required for all employees who operate a vehicle on court business.
- Felony and misdemeanor convictions may be disqualifying. The Court will assess the nature and gravity of the offense, the time elapsed, and the nature of the job duties.
- In accordance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, all persons hired after November 6 1986 are required to present original documents proving identity and U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work.
