Inventory & Operations Lead

Base hourly pay for this position is $21.50. At our Martinez store, team members average approximately $11.14 per hour in tips. Tips are not guaranteed and may vary based on shift, business levels, and seasonality.

Embarc is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, and organized leader to be our full-time Inventory & Operations Lead to join our cannabis dispensary. As an emerging, community-driven retailer, we rely on this role to execute core inventory functions while supporting back-of-house, front-of-house, reception, and customer service. What

is the Job?

The Inventory & Operations Lead executes all inventory functions as the key focus. This role also assists with back-of-house operations, front-of-house operations, reception, and customer service. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and strict compliance with company policies and state regulations.

Core Responsibilities - Inventory
  • Execute all aspects of inventory management: intake, counts, pricing, transfers, recalls, stocking, and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate counts and records in METRC and POS systems.
  • To ensure accuracy, conduct recurring audits, spot checks, and cycle counts.
  • Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Analyze and action inventory reports in partnership with Store Management.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local cannabis regulations.
Store Operations
  • Supervise daily store operations to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and merchandising.
  • Support the implementation of company policies, legal regulations, and operational improvements.
  • Ensure facilities issues are rectified to ensure an excellent customer experience.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness in back-of-house areas to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Support product merchandising and ensure displays meet company and compliance standards.
  • Able to safely lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
Leadership
  • Train and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, development, and accountability.
  • Act as a key point of contact between store management and staff.
  • Utilize critical problem-solving skills to recommend improvements and escalate issues appropriately to management.
  • Build a culture that aligns with the core values of the organization.
  • Be a champion of change.
Customer Experience
  • Lead the front of house store team to create an exceptional experience for customers and employees, and to exceed sales goals.
  • Engage with customers on the sales floor when needed, answering questions and recommending products.
  • Provide a welcoming and compliant customer check-in at reception.
  • Participate in community engagement, field marketing, social media, and local events to represent the Embarc brand.
  • Builds customer retention using company loyalty programs.
What Skills We re Looking For

Preferred

Education and Experience
  • Experience with Metrc Track and Trace system.
  • Experience with the Treez POS system.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience in retail or operations.
  • Experience with computerized inventory and compliance systems.
Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time role in a retail store open 365 days a year. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are required based on business needs.
