This Part‑Time Unarmed Security Officer (Flex) role is an on‑site position located in Martinez, CA. The Unarmed Security Officer (Flex) will provide visible security presence, monitor premises, and help deter unauthorized activity at client sites. Responsibilities include conducting regular patrols, monitoring access points, checking identification or credentials where required, and reporting any suspicious behavior, safety hazards, or security incidents. The officer will complete detailed incident and daily activity reports, follow post orders, and respond calmly and effectively to emergencies or alarms.
This flex role may involve varying schedules, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet client needs while maintaining a professional, courteous, and service‑oriented demeanor.
- Proven ability to observe, patrol, and monitor premises, with strong situational awareness and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, visitors, and team members, and for completing clear incident reports.
- Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and customer service orientation in a security, safety, or related role.
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods and respond quickly to incidents as required by the post.
- Willingness and availability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional security or safety training and certifications are a plus.
- Current state‑required security guard license.
- Clean and professional appearance, valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks and, where applicable, drug screening.
