Job SummaryAs an Experienced Auto Glass Technician
, you’ll serve on the front line of the Safelite customer experience, leveraging advanced technical expertise, a strong sense of ownership, and Safelite’s cutting-edge tools, training, and technology to perform complex repairs, replacements, and recalibrations both in‑shop and in our Mobile Glass Shop.
- Provide all vehicle glass repair and replacement services at a Safelite Shop or Mobile Glass Shop efficiently, focusing on safety, quality, and exceptional customer service.
- Recalibrate automotive safety systems, troubleshoot, and complete diagnostic testing.
- Operate Safelite’s tools and technologies (True Seal®, Ezi‑Wire™, Glass Table System, chemicals, work order systems, and Mobile Resource Management).
- Safely operate company and customer vehicles throughout the workday.
- Communicate with scheduled customers in‑person, via text, and on the phone; promote and sell Safelite promotional items and services.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
- Competitive weekly pay.
- Earn $5 per set of wiper blades added for customer safety.

- Paid training and all tools and resources needed for success.
- High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent (preferred).
- Proven experience as an Auto Glass Technician (2+ years preferred).
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license (other required licenses as mandated by law).
- Safelite Safe Tech™ certification (required).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds routinely and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend, and twist body.
- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle in compliance with all applicable laws and company monitoring.
- Maintain professionalism and passion for outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work outside in diverse weather conditions.
- Ability to work with chemicals as per the “Safelite Way of Fitting.”
- Flexible availability to accommodate customer needs.
- Proficiency with computerized diagnostic tools for recalibrations and trouble‑shooting.
- Problem‑solving skills, both independently and collaboratively.
- Read, write, and interpret English language and technical directions.
- Communicative orally (phone) and in writing (computer or other electronic means).
- Maintain a professional appearance, adhering to company uniform and PPE policies.
- Capability to perform under professional or personal pressure.
This position involves driving duties that will be monitored through cameras, GPS, and other tracking technologies to ensure safety and compliance.
