Description

The ACT Administrative Assistant provides administrative, organizational, and clerical support to the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. This position is an integral member of the multidisciplinary ACT team and helps ensure that team operations, scheduling, documentation, communication, and administrative records are maintained accurately and efficiently.

The ACT Administrative Assistant reports directly to the ACT Team Lead and works closely with clinical, medical, case management, peer support, and other ACT team members. Because ACT services are designed for individuals living with serious mental illness (SMI) who may have complex behavioral health, medical, housing, social, and community-support needs, the successful candidate must be comfortable interacting professionally and respectfully with individuals receiving behavioral health services.

This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a willingness to function collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree or additional education in business administration, healthcare administration, human services, behavioral health, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous administrative, clerical, office support, scheduling, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience working in behavioral health, healthcare, social services, human services, or a similar environment preferred.
  • Experience working with or interacting with individuals with serious mental illness or other behavioral health needs is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with community-based behavioral health services, Assertive Community Treatment, or services for individuals with serious mental illness is preferred.
