Construction Manager/ Foreman, Site Manager
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Superintendent to join our team for a large‑scale fiber‑to‑the‑home deployment project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day field operations, developing project plans, and monitoring performance.
Essential Responsibilities- Ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes.
- Lead the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversee incident investigations.
- Review and update construction schedules, address delays, and contribute to project timelines.
- Estimate activity durations and materials for complex projects.
- Maintain knowledge of reporting and tracking financial aspects of the project.
- Participate in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement, and negotiations.
- Set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field team.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff and fellow Superintendents.
- Three or more years of experience as a Telecommunications construction Superintendent.
- Experience in aerial fiber construction is required.
- Post‑secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to directly supervise craft employees and subcontractors.
- Problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to anticipate and address issues.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Military experience equivalent to 12N Horizontal Construction Engineer and/or 12H Construction Engineering Supervisor.
- This is a site‑based position.
- Travel up to 40% of the time throughout the state of West Virginia.
