Position SummaryWest Virginia University School of Medicine - Eastern Division seeks a Family Medicine Physician for an Outpatient Position (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Berkeley Springs, WV
.
The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Family Medicine
. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent, State medical license, and DEA registration is required by start date. The successful candidate must have completed a Family Medicine residency program. Successful candidates must be board certified/eligible in Family Medicine. All qualifications must be met by the time of the appointment.
LocationBerkeley Springs, WV is in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, about 1 ½ to 2 hours from Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, MD and close to three international airports. A rural atmosphere and a lower cost of living combine with easy accessibility to the Washington DC / Baltimore areas, making the Eastern Panhandle an ideal place to live. While Berkeley County is among the fastest growing counties in the state, there is little congestion and traffic.
In recent years, a steady influx of urban professionals from nearby Washington, DC and Baltimore, Maryland has contributed to the growth of local telecommuting and high‑tech industries.
