Elementary School, Special Education Teacher

Key
Qualifications:
- Current West Virginia teaching license
- Autism (AD) endorsement required
- Experience with K-5 and/or 3-5th grade students, ideally in special education
- Strong knowledge of best practices for instructing students with autism spectrum disorder
- Outstanding communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Comfort with virtual interviews via Zoom
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver person-centered instruction to elementary-age students with autism
- Manage two primary caseloads (K-5 and 3-5 classrooms)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including related service providers and general educators
- Engage families in student progress meetings and IEP development
- Monitor and document student outcomes, adjusting interventions as needed
- Participate in ongoing professional development when available
