Dance Instructor

SUMMARY

This job includes assisting the lead teacher with instruction and education of children between the age(s) of 3-18 years in various dance disciplines. This position has the opportunity to move up in leadership over time.

The individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Demonstrate various progressions or skills with arms, legs, head,etc.
• Be on your feet and active foranhour or more at a time
• Spot all skills required ofthe classes that you are teaching

• Ability to handle high pressure situations such as accidentsandminor injuries
• Being on time,dependable, andmaintainthe same schedule
• Communicating with students and lead teacher throughout sessions when necessary
• Be able to have effective class management skills

• Dance experience is required
• Experience working with children preferred
• First Aid/CPR/AED Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire date

• Dance facilities are covered, climate-controlled facilities
