Senior Research & Formulation Chemist

We are seeking a Senior Research and Formulation Chemist to lead the creation, development, and optimization of aerosol and liquid products. This role blends innovative research with hands-on formulation work, bridging early discovery through commercial manufacturing.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable exploring new chemistries in the lab and ensuring formulations scale reliably, safely, and cost-effectively in production.

  Evaluate new raw materials, technologies, and chemistries aligned with customer needs and company innovation priorities

  Design and execute experiments using data-driven methodologies, including DOE, stability testing, performance testing, and compatibility analysis

  Develop new formulations and reformulate existing products to meet performance, cost, sustainability, and regulatory targets

  Lead pilot plant trials and production scale-up, including risk assessment and troubleshooting

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
• 7 to 12 or more years of hands-on formulation or applied R&D experience
• Experience in aerosol, coatings, adhesives, or related industries preferred
• Strong understanding of experimental design and DOE principles
• Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; LIMS experience is a plus

• Full-time onsite role in Martinsburg, West Virginia
• Monday through Friday schedule
• Work performed in laboratory and manufacturing environments
