TRC has multiple openings for Transportation Construction Inspectors across West Virginia. This is a full‑time, direct hire position with full benefits and growth opportunities within an established company.
Responsibilities- Perform daily site inspections for highway and/or bridge construction projects to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, and codes.
- Measure and record pay quantities.
- Prepare daily reports.
- Review the Contractor's schedule.
- Review and provide input on potential change order issues.
- Maintain project records.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Six months of construction experience with bridges, roadways, and highways.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to obtain WVTRET Certification within six months of hire.
- WVTRET Certification (Level I - V).
- WVDOH Materials Certifications in Soil
- Aggregate Compaction, Portland Cement Concrete and Asphalt Field
- Compaction. - Associate's degree in civil engineering technology or related.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering technology or related.

Salary range depends on local law and varies with experience, education, skill level, geography, and other factors.
Other CompensationEmployees may be eligible to participate in the company’s annual discretionary bonus program, contingent on company, business segment, and individual performance against key performance indicators.
