Civil Site Development Engineer
Oxford Solutions is working with a client seeking an experienced Civil Site Development Engineer for a direct hire opportunity. This is an onsite role with a small office environment, so the ideal candidate must be comfortable working independently, communicating directly with clients, and supporting projects from design through regulatory coordination.
This role will focus on site development and infrastructure design, including grading, utilities, stormwater, sanitary sewer, erosion control, and related civil design work.
Responsibilities
- Design and support site development and infrastructure projects from concept through completion
- Prepare site layouts, grading plans, utility plans, erosion and sediment control plans, and stormwater management designs
- Perform sanitary and storm sewer design, hydraulic modeling, and post-construction stormwater management design
- Coordinate with clients, customers, consultants, municipalities, and regulatory agencies
- Lead small to moderate project design teams as needed
- Review drawings, calculations, reports, and technical documentation for accuracy and compliance
- Support permitting, approvals, and project coordination activities
- Manage multiple project priorities in a small team environment
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
- Active Professional Engineer license required
- 5+ years of civil engineering experience
- Experience with site development, land development, infrastructure design, and light to moderate roadway or access drive design
- Strong knowledge of grading, utility design, stormwater management, sanitary sewer design, and erosion control
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydrology/hydraulic calculation software
- Strong technical writing, communication, and client-facing skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned projects
- Comfortable working in a small office/small team environment
