Who we needReporting to the Vice President, Global FP&A, we are hiring a Director, Finance Go To Market Business Partner. As our new Director you will serve as a strategic finance partner to Altus Group’s commercial leadership team, helping drive revenue growth, forecasting accuracy, operational efficiency, and investment decisions across the global business. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and executive stakeholders to support go-to-market strategy, optimize commercial performance, evaluate pricing and deal structures, and strengthen recurring revenue planning as Altus Group continues its evolution into a software-first organization.
This is a hybrid role based out of our New York office.
- Influence and visibility – partner directly with senior commercial and executive leaders, including the Chief Commercial Officer and CFO, helping shape revenue strategy, forecasting, pricing decisions, and commercial performance across a global business.
- Transformation and ownership – play a key role in modernizing commercial finance practices, improving processes, supporting go-to-market initiatives, and creating stronger alignment across Finance, Sales, Product, and Marketing.
- Exposure and growth – gain broad exposure across global operations, executive leadership, and strategic initiatives in an environment that balances scale, stability, and agility.
- Partner across the commercial organization. Work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer, Sales leadership, Product, Marketing, and executive stakeholders to support commercial strategy, revenue planning, forecasting, pricing decisions, and overall business performance.
- Lead commercial finance planning and analysis. Drive forecasting, annual planning, quota alignment, commission analysis, expense management, and recurring revenue reporting activities.
- Strengthen commercial decision‑making. Provide financial insights, business case analysis, and performance reporting that support investment decisions, go‑to‑market initiatives, new product launches, and ongoing business growth opportunities.
- Support pricing, deals, and revenue operations. Participate in deal reviews, pricing approvals, and non‑standard commercial arrangements while partnering with Finance, Revenue Operations, and Accounting teams to ensure alignment with operational processes and revenue recognition requirements.
- Improve processes and visibility. Identify opportunities to strengthen forecasting accuracy, reporting capabilities, operational efficiency, and cross‑functional alignment while helping evolve how the business measures and manages commercial performance.
- Build trusted relationships across the business. Act as a strategic advisor and collaborative partner to leaders across Finance and the commercial organization, bringing strong communication skills, sound judgement, and the ability to influence stakeholders in a fast‑moving environment.
- The finance leadership experience. Progressive experience in FP&A, commercial finance, sales finance, or go‑to‑market finance within a SaaS, software, technology, or recurring revenue environment.
- The commercial mindset. Comfortable partnering with Sales, Product, Marketing, and executive stakeholders, balancing financial rigor with business objectives.
- The analytical and technical expertise. Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting capabilities, experience with large datasets, SaaS and recurring revenue metrics, and business performance analysis. Exposure to tools such as Salesforce, Workday, Power BI, Adaptive Planning, or similar platforms is considered an asset.
