East Ridge Health Systems is a nonprofit comprehensive behavioral health center providing mental health, substance use, and intellectual and developmental disability services to children, adults, and families across the eastern panhandle of West Virginia ( https://www.eastridgehealthsystems.org/ ). As a state designated Comprehensive Behavioral Health Center, East Ridge offers a broad continuum of community-based care, including outpatient treatment, psychiatric services, crisis response, medication-assisted treatment, case management, psychiatric rehabilitation, peer and family support, and services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
East Ridge is positioning itself for its next phase of growth through the pursuit of Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) status. The organization has applied for a federal CCBHC grant, with awards expected in November, and, if selected, plans to pursue available CCBHC demonstration funding through the State of West Virginia. This transition would support a significant expansion and enhancement of East Ridge's service continuum, including greater access to integrated mental health and substance use treatment, crisis services, care coordination, and other comprehensive community-based supports.
