In Home Caregiver - Hedgesville​/Berkeley Springs WV

We are seeking compassionate and reliable Non-Medical In-Home Caregivers to provide essential support to clients in their homes. This position involves assisting individuals with daily living activities, companionship, light housekeeping, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment. No medical certifications are required, but a caring attitude and commitment to client well-being are essential.

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, dressing, bathing, and toileting, as needed.

• Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation or loneliness.

• Prepare and serve meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.

• Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, dish washing, and maintaining a tidy environment.

• Assist with mobility, transfers, and walking, including the use of assistive devices as necessary.

• Remind clients to take medications (no medication administration).

• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or social outings if required.

• Monitor and report changes in client behavior, mood, or physical condition to family members or supervisors.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous caregiver experience (paid or unpaid) is highly desirable.

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (if transporting clients).

• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.

• Ability to follow care plans and maintain confidentiality.

• Work is performed in the client’s home.

• Flexible hours; may include evenings, weekends, or holidays depending on client needs.

• Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 25 lbs, stand for extended periods, and assist with mobility.
