CERTIFICATION / QUALIFICATIONS- Professional Employee of Braxton County Schools.
- Previous IT experience preferred.

The IT Support Assistant provides hands‑on technical support and assistance to the county technology department. This position assists with the repair, maintenance, and setup of technology devices and equipment across district facilities, and supports the technology team in daily operations to ensure reliable technology services for staff and students. The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non‑prescribed drugs while in the workplace.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining computers, laptops, iPads, tablets, printers, and other technology equipment.
- Support device deployment, inventory, imaging, and asset management.
- Respond to help desk tickets and provide first‑level technical support to staff and students.
- Assist with network, audio/visual, and classroom technology setup as directed.
- Perform other technology‑related duties as assigned by the Technology Director.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with administrators, teachers, students, parents, and community members.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, student‑centered approach.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and communication.
- Ensure compliance with all district policies, safety protocols, and West Virginia Department of Education requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
