High School Diploma or GED required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
Five or more years of experience in chemical manufacturing preferred
Two or more years of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred

Experience with liquid blending, batching, or aerosol manufacturing is highly desirable
Strong understanding of chemical manufacturing processes and formulation control

Experience with batching procedures and production scheduling
Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills
Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, Hazard Communication (Haz Com), SDS requirements, and safe manufacturing practices
Experience using Microsoft Office and ERP/manufacturing software
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment

• Leadership & Team Development Lead the daily activities of the batching department and assign work priorities Coach, mentor, and develop batching employees Help team members improve time management, efficiency, and technical skills Conduct employee training, performance evaluations, and ongoing coaching Foster a positive culture built on accountability, teamwork, and respect Lead by example through professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic
• Production & Operations Ensure formulas, batch records, and manufacturing instructions are followed accurately Coordinate daily activities with Production, Warehouse, Quality, Maintenance, and Planning Monitor production schedules and adjust priorities as needed Support smooth production flow by anticipating and resolving operational challenges Ensure batching equipment is operating safely and efficiently
• Quality & Compliance Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, GMP, and company requirements Investigate batch deviations and implement corrective actions Ensure accurate documentation and recordkeeping Promote a Right First Time mindset throughout the department Monitor inventory usage and identify opportunities to reduce waste Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, quality, and workflow Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives Encourage employee involvement in problem solving and process improvements Help create standardized, repeatable processes that support long-term success
