Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Martinsburg, WV

Contract | Days (Varied Start Times Including Day, Evening, and Night Shifts) | Onsite

• Circulate surgical cases across a high-volume OR environment handling 35–45 cases per day across 9 operating suites, one procedure room, and one hybrid room
• Support a broad range of surgical specialties including general, ENT, ophthalmology, orthopedics, robotic surgery (da Vinci and Rosa), neuro-spine, vascular, podiatry, sports medicine, and emergent cases
• Operate as the sole RN on overnight shifts alongside two surgical technologists, requiring independent clinical judgment and comfort managing the OR environment autonomously
• Participate in on-call rotations including weeknight, weekend, and holiday call coverage with a 30-minute response time requirement
• Assist with room turnover as needed, as housekeeping and aide support are not available within the department
• Float to outpatient surgery as required by unit needs

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Minimum 2–3 years of Operating Room experience
• Minimum 2–3 prior travel assignments
• Demonstrated orthopedic OR experience, including experience passing robotic arms in and out for robotic-assisted procedures
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

• PALS certification preferred
• Scrubbing experience is a plus, though not required for RNs
• Broad multi-specialty OR experience strongly preferred, particularly for evening, night, and weekend shifts
• Willingness to cross-train or refresh skills in a specific service line for day-shift candidates with experience in at least one specialty area

• Work in a fast-paced, full-service OR open 24/7 with exposure to a wide variety of surgical specialties including advanced robotic and neuro-spine cases
• Scrubs are provided for all OR staff, and block scheduling may be available when it aligns with unit needs
