Common Cases
- Open 24/7:
General, ENT, eyes, ortho, robotics (Da Vinci, Rosa), neuro spine, burr holes, VP shunts, ventricle, laminotomy, discectomy, fusions, TLIF, ALIF, nerve stimulators, total joint, shoulders, hips & knees, ORIF, external fixation, scopes, sports medicine, podiatry, hands, open fractures, trauma, vascular (fistulas, carotids, angiograms, fempop, BKA), pediatric dental and ENT. Emergent cases: appendectomy, stab wounds, cranial operations, etc. All surgical cases except CVOR, L&D cover C-sections.
& Experience
2–3 years of experience in OR RN, with 2–3 previous travel assignments. Orthopedic experience required. Must be proficient in arm‑in, arm‑out for robotics. Must have EPIC EMR experience. Must have BLS; ACLS required; PALS preferred for RN. OR techs require BLS; CST preferred. All specialties must be able to work evening/night shifts with RN overnight covering two techs. Scrubbing required for RN.
Must be comfortable circulating cases and working with charge nurses or house supervisors during shifts 7‑a.m.–7‑p.m. and 7‑p.m.–7‑a.m. on‑call. Must comply with call requirements: one weeknight on‑call (7 p.m.–7 a.m.) and one weekend 24‑hour on‑call per month. Must be available for holiday call as needed.
