3-12 hour day shifts per week with rotating weekends and holidays.
Job Description:
The Registered Nurse in the PCU/Tele unit will provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients with various cardiac and telemetry needs. The role involves monitoring patients, administering medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Assess and monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic health record (EPIC).
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes and treatment plans.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives.
- Valid RN license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a PCU or telemetry setting is preferred.
