Registered Nurse - Med Surg Ortho/Neuro
This is a 13-week contract position.
3x12 hour nights, every other weekend and rotating holidays.
The Med Surg Ortho/Neuro unit is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to patients with orthopedic and neurological conditions. The RN will be responsible for managing patient care, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Perform comprehensive assessments and monitoring of patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Coordinate with the charge nurse and collaborate with the healthcare team.
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient education.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system (EPIC).
- Provide compassionate patient care and support to patients and families.
- Float to other Med Surg units as needed, ensuring adaptability and teamwork.
- Current RN license in good standing.
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Basic arrhythmia knowledge; ability to recognize fatal rhythms.
