Full-Time
200-Day contract (10 months) renewable in accordance with School Board policy and the Code of Virginia.
Job DescriptionSeeking a qualified teacher to provide special education instruction at the elementary school level. Reports to and is evaluated by the Principal.
Qualifications- Hold or be eligible for licensure in Virginia with appropriate special education endorsement.
- Demonstrated understanding of standards‑based curriculum, research‑based instructional strategies, and effective assessment practices.
- Ability to model and promote a culture of high expectations for student and staff performance.
- Understanding of continuous school improvement and Effective Schools research.
- Ability to disaggregate and use data to inform instruction.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including students with disabilities, English language learners, students who live in poverty, and students who are gifted.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work in a collaborative/shared‑leadership environment.
