Secondary Principal Succession Pipeline

Are you prepared to guide young adults through some of the most pivotal years of their lives? Our district is seeking dynamic, inspiring leaders for our Secondary Principal Succession Pipeline (Middle/High School). We are proactively identifying and nurturing talent to step into secondary leadership roles, ensuring our schools never miss a beat during transitions.

As a Secondary Principal, you will bridge the gap between adolescence and the future. You will be responsible for driving academic excellence, managing complex campus ecosystems, and preparing students for college, career, and life beyond graduation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive rigorous secondary curricula, including AP/IB programs, Career and Technical Education (CTE), and graduation pathway readiness.

  • Oversee diverse extracurricular, athletic, and co-curricular programs that foster a vibrant school spirit and high student retention.

  • Maintain a secure, supportive campus environment utilizing restorative justice practices and proactive behavior interventions.

  • Cultivate strong relationships with higher education institutions, local businesses, and community stakeholders.

What We Are Looking For
  • Master's Degree in education administration and considerable administrative and educational experience. Postgraduate Professional License with an endorsement in Administration and Supervision PreK-12, or an equivalent level of education and experience.
  • Administrative or supervisory experience at the secondary level.

  • Proven ability to manage large-scale operations, master scheduling, and complex student dynamics.

  • Knowledge of curriculum design, implementation, evaluation, and refinement.

  • Knowledge of prescribed School Board policies and procedures.

  • Knowledge and understanding of student growth and development.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the conditions and dynamics of the diverse school community.

  • Skill in effective communication, both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to motivate others to reach their fullest potential.

  • Ability to plan and supervise the work of others.

  • Ability to set expectations, build capacity, model learning, lead symbolically, manage effectively, and respond to constituent groups and the community.

  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other District employees and the general public.
