Albert Harris Elementary School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary Teacher to join our team of educators. The ideal candidate will create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that fosters academic, social, and emotional growth for all students.

Valid Virginia teaching license with an endorsement in Elementary Education.

• Plan and deliver effective lessons aligned with the Virginia Standards of Learning (SOLs).
• Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and collaboration.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Utilize various teaching methods and technology to enhance student engagement.
• Assess and monitor student progress through formal and informal methods.
• Communicate regularly with students, families, and colleagues regarding student progress and school initiatives.
• Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school events.
• Uphold school policies, procedures, and high standards of professionalism.

• Valid Virginia Teaching License with an endorsement in Elementary Education.
• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of child development and instructional best practices.
• Proficiency in integrating technology into the classroom.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and families.

• Experience teaching in a diverse school environment.
• Knowledge of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) or similar frameworks.
