• Manage drug therapy protocols as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Review, interpret, and evaluate medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve drug‑related problems.
• Provide drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, patients, and pharmacy students.
• Document interventions and outcomes for drug therapy quality improvement.
• Verify medication orders for accuracy before entry; check filled medications prepared by technicians; maintain proficiency with pharmacy automated systems and software.

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
• Current license with the VA state Board of Pharmacy.
• BCLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in stressful environments.
• Rapid learning and navigation of multiple pharmacy/clinical software systems.
• Effective English communication (read, write, speak, and understand).
• Ability to complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire.
