Schedule:

12-hour shifts. Job Location Type:
In Person.

Minimum 36 hours/week, including every other weekend.

• Perform plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care.
• Document patient care provided.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Detect changes in patient status, report to appropriate health care team members, and utilize resources as dictated by acuity. Assign priorities with highest priority to the most urgent and critical problems.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide appropriate education.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

• Graduate of a professional school of nursing.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Virginia State Board of Nursing or a Compact State.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• Previous experience in an acute‑care hospital setting preferred.
